6 month pictures

We haven't been up to much these past few days, which means I haven't had much to blog about! I just realized I never posted any of Jade's 6 month pictures! Here are a few of my favorites! :)

 

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we were able to take advantage of the beautiful weather (sunny and mid 60's) and visit the Pumpkin Patch with Grammy and Grampy! We had so much fun taking pictures, eating apple cider donuts, feeding the goats and camels, picking a pumpkin, watching the pumpkin cannon launch pumpkins and taking a hayride. Here are a few pictures from the day!

Just for fun :)

Jade and I had a play date today with Braelyn and her mommy! I found a place in Naperville called Cafe N Play! They have a big play area for kids and even a part sectioned off for babies with lots of toys to play with! They also have a little cafe with coffees and snacks! Of course we forgot to take pictures of the girls until we were ready to leave, so what I got is pretty entertaining! :)

Lunch with Daddy

On Saturday Jade and I had lunch with Nate at the Police Department! Nate loved showing Jade off to his coworkers and we loved seeing where Daddy works!

Too Cute

I found a blog through Pinterest that had instructions for DIY baby leg warmers. Cute, right? So, I bought some knee high women's socks from Target in some fun patterns and finally got around to making them (with help from mom who did the pinning and sewing). I think they turned out super cute! Here are a few pictures of Jade showing them off!

 

 

I just got a pair of Halloween socks to make another set. I can't wait to pair them a little denim skirt and a Halloween shirt! :)



6 Months

I don't know where the time is going, but somehow my baby girl is 6 months old already! I think 6 months might be my favorite age so far! Jade has so much personality and is just so fun to play with!

 

At her check up yesterday she weighed in at 18 lbs 3.5 ounces (90th percentile) and measured 27 and 3/4 inches tall (97th percentile). She passed all of their tests with flying colors, including picking up a block and passing it between her hands, babbling and responding to her name.

 

Jade is really enjoying trying different veggies. She has tried sweet potatoes, peas, squash and carrots. So far sweet potatoes and carrots are at the top of her list!

 

 

Jade (and her mommy) also enjoyed meeting cousin Cora this past month. I can't wait to watch these two become best friends!

 

 

At 6 months old Jade's favorite song is The Wheels on the Bus, her favorite book is 10 Tiny Puppies, she has 1 tooth, she takes two naps a day, has a bedtime of approximately 8:15 and a wake up time of approximately 7:30. She loves playing peek-a-boo, trying to get mommy and daddy's cell phones, the remote control, reading books and trying to put everything in her mouth!

This past Wednesday I took Jade for her 6 month photos! Our wedding photographer, Sylver, has actually stopped photographing weddings and now photographs babies and kids out of her home studio! She had a whole closet full of tutu's, diaper covers, rompers, bows, etc. that we got to use. Sylver also asked me if she could use Jade to model an outfit she had received from a vendor. I had no idea that these pictures were going to be used on their website! Check out the cutie pie modeling the Wisteria Violet Pettidress (Dip Dye)! :)
