End of School

This school year absolutely flew by! I can't believe how much both of the girls grew, too!

Jemma still remains my sweet, shy little girl (at least when momma is around)! I hear she really comes out of her shell though when she's on her own (notably when she and Jade are running around the neighborhood with the neighbor boys)! Her favorite thing about school is definitely her friends. There were only 5 girls in her class this year, so they all became close buddies! Jemma has come a long way academically, I love seeing the improvement in her "writing" from the first day to the last day of school! She has gained so much confidence, too! I can't believe my baby is going to KINDERGARTEN!!!

First Day & Last Day!

Last drop-off at Pre-School! I'm going to miss this place so much!

Jemma's LAST slide! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tearing up a little :(

With teacher Ms. Jill! Same teacher Jade had for Pre-K!

With teacher Ms. Heather!

With her friends Alex and Juliana!

With her bestie Teagan!

Jade had one more week of school after Jemma finished! I barely even recognize the girl in these first day of school pictures, Jade grew up a ton! She still LOVES school, and has been known to be pretty devastated if she has to miss a day due to illness. Her favorite subject is Math and her favorite special is Art. She is also becoming a great reader, even though it's not her favorite. Jade is a perfectionist, I truly admire her for always giving 100% in what she does!

First Day & Last Day!

I just love this picture from the first day of school! Jade's teacher began the year as Miss Quigg and ended the year as Mrs. Splendoria! This woman is something else, she definitely knows how to lead a class!! So thankful for her and her love for Jade this year. She saw so many positive traits in Jade, and definitely brought out the best in her. She also had a way of providing the exact positive reinforcement that Jade needed! I'm not sure who is going to miss her more, me or Jade! ;)

Bring on Summer!!!

Mother's Day

We got back from Jamaica just in time for me to be able to attend a little Mother's Day celebration with Jemma at school! The day started with Chapel followed by time spent in various stations around her classroom!

Jade made me some special items at school, and Nate had some little items up his sleeve as well! The girls and I enjoyed a fun Mother's Day together, while Nate got some rest. I even let them pick Mother's Day lunch.. we ended up at McDonalds! :) Wouldn't have had it any other way!

Jamaica

Nate and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a splurge trip to Jamaica! The goal was to relax as much as possible, and do as little as possible! I think we were pretty successful in both areas! We stayed at a BEAUTIFUL resort on the cliffs of Negril. The resort only has 12 rooms, so less than 30 guests at a time (assuming maximum capacity) could be staying at the resort!

We stayed in the Sea Turtle Cottage! We had a gorgeous view from the balcony and window!

As the hotel was built right into the cliffs, there were a lot of fun cliff jumping opportunities as well as caves to snorkel in and explore! We spent most of our days relaxing in a different spot of the resort, snorkeling, floating on rafts and jumping in to the water to cool off!

A short walk down the road from the resort was the Negril Lighthouse, located on the western most point of Jamaica! For a small donation, the grounds keeper took us around and up to the top of the lighthouse!

The following day we did our one and only excursion, a trip to Mayfield Falls! The drive in was very pretty, and the grounds to the falls upon arrival were very unassuming. To be honest, I didn't know what exactly I was in store for. We ended up having a blast, getting to walk through a series of small waterfalls on a private tour. Our guide, Lester, was amazing and took so many cool pictures and videos for us!

We also took advantage of the Spa, and enjoyed a couples massage. SO relaxing!

Being about as far west as possible in Jamaica, we got to experience some gorgeous sunsets! A highlight for both of us was sitting together in the little Gazebo watching the sun go down!

I'm gonna wrap this post up with some pictures we took while exploring the caves and some videos of some of our cliff jumps!

Nate was extremely daring and tried just about every designated jumping area at the resort! I did two jumps, and that was more than enough for me! :)

This jump was a little different, called the Blue Hole! You jump down into the cave! An adrenaline rush for sure!

We had an amazing 7 days away, but would by lying if we said we didn't miss the girls! Both sets of Grandparents held down the fort while we were gone. We couldn't be more thankful for them and everything they did while we were away!
