July - Part 2

We had so much fun at the Lake in The Hills Ribfest and carnival with Grammy and Grampy. Jade discovered her love for ribs!!

Jade wrapped up her summer music program with her first "concert"! Due to Covid, flute players get to wear these special flute masks. ;) I'll spare you with a video/audio clip from the day since they all just played as one big group (flutes, oboes and percussion combined).

Grammy got to come watch, and then took us for ice cream afterward!

We had a fun bowling playdate with friends!

We had my extended family reunion weekend and celebrated my Grandma's 94th birthday, which was definitely a highlight of the summer for me! We hadn't been all together for 2 years, so the reunion just felt extra special for me this year! We crammed a lot of activity into a couple days!

July - Part 1

We kicked off July with a day date while the girls were at a sleepover with Grammy and Grampy! Nate and I enjoyed a round of mini golf, followed by dinner and dessert! The girls had a blast at G&G's house as usual!

 

Nate had to work the evening of the 4th of July this year. We grilled out for lunch and then the girls played on their blow up water slide most of the afternoon. We did some poppers, smoke bombs and sparklers at home, but didn't make it out for the big Naperville show! The vote was unanimous to stay home :)

We had a fun morning at the Paddleboat Quarry in downtown Naperville. Nate and I did the peddling and the girls enjoyed spotting water snakes.

Jemma enjoyed cycling through all her swimsuits as she made her way through her swimming lessons.

Here is a little video of Jemma Jumping into the "deep end" during her first session of lessons! This was such a big step for her!

We did a fun overnight at the Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, IL with Nate's parents! The girls had the best time playing in the waterpark and the arcade for hours!
