October

October was a fun and busy month! We started out the month with a family date night to an Escape Room, dinner and shopping for the girls at Claire's.

The girls and I went to Bengston's Pumpkin Farm with some friends! This was our first time there, the kids had so much fun riding all the rides!

We carved our first pumpkin of the season! Nate and the girls came up with some pretty creative ideas!

We went to Johansen Farms with Jade's Girl Scouts troop. It was rainy but the girls had fun running through the corn maze with flash lights, going on a hayride and making s'mores.

Jade wrapped up her fall soccer season. Her team had a great season, a lot of fun and a lot of wins! Jade loved having Grandma and Grandpa come to one of her games!

We surprised the girls with tickets to the Gold Over America Tour featuring Simone Biles! It was such a fun show, and something I've always wanted to do! The girls both loved it! We had dinner and dessert at the Sugar Factory beforehand!

We wrapped up the month with a fun night of Trick or Treating with the neighborhood girls! Jade dressed up as a wicked witch and Jemma was her black cat. The girls got quite the haul of candy this year!

Charcoal

On October 8th we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl, Charcoal. Saying goodbye to her was tougher than I ever imagined it would be! She was our first "baby" and has been a part of our family for over 11 years!

Charcoal was the best dog we could have ever asked for. She was obedient, loving and loyal. She was tolerant of the girls and their antics, she loved to play frisbee and was always socializing with the neighbors! She got me through countless nights of being alone while Nate was at work. I will miss her by my side in the evenings and will always miss her welcoming me home every time I come through the door.
