Starting September

September has been an interesting month, weather wise! We've spanned from as cold as the 50's all the way up to the 90's! Here is what we have been up to the last 3 weeks!

Family outing after church to "Seashell Island" for some shell hunting and nature walk!

Crossing another park off the list! We happened to run into some friends, so that was unexpected and fun!

 59. Ranchview Park

Jemma had her first day of 3 year old Pre-School! Notice her puffy eye? She got a mosquito bite a few days prior (at Seashell Island) and it really puffed up the night before school!

Jade lost her first tooth, at school on September 7th! She thought it was pretty cool going to the nurse's office to rinse her mouth out! Not to mention, the cute little treasure chest she got to bring her tooth home in!

Crossed another park off the list, only two more to go!

60. Kendall Park

Jemma started a ballet class through the Naperville Park District. She absolutely loves it!

While in the midst of a major home project (new floors!!) the girls and I spent a few nights at my parent's house! Nate spent a few nights at his parent's house (where Charcoal was staying) since it was closer to work for him!

We had so much fun apple picking one morning!

Jemma Turns Three

First thing on the agenda for Jemma's big birthday was her 3 year checkup! She is 38.5 inches tall and 36 lbs, nearly the exact same stats as Jade at 3. 

Afterward, I told her she could pick anywhere for us to go! She chose Chuck E. Cheese! Because it was her birthday, she got a special sticker, prize at the ticket redemption counter and a cup of dip n dots! Most of her time was spent riding rides!

Jemma came home and took her daily 2-3 hour nap, before heading to the All Aboard Diner "The Choo Choo Restaurant" for dinner! The girls love this place, and has kind of turned into a birthday tradition.

After dinner and ice cream, we headed home for Jem to open her presents! She got a few smaller items, but her big gift was the Our Generation Ice Cream Truck from Target that both she and Jade had been eyeing! It has become a fast favorite.

Also, I just realized this post had been sitting in my drafts for the last 2 weeks, oops! Oh well, was fun looking back through her birthday pictures! Happy Birthday Sweet Jemmy!

Jemma's Unicorn 3rd Birthday Party

The theme for Jemma's birthday party this year was Unicorns! She doesn't have any particular fascination with unicorns, but I found a cute outfit and some adorable tableware at Target, so when I asked her what she thought and she said YES!! :)

Since Jemma wasn't going to have a party with friends this year, we decided to splurge on a bounce house for her family party! It was a major hit by all (kids and adults alike)! ;)

I didn't get many pictures from present opening, as it was a bit chaotic, but a big THANK YOU to everyone who brought and sent gifts! Jemma absolutely loved and adored everything!

Such a wonderful celebration for a special 3 year old! Thank you everyone for being a part of it!
