Sweet girl

April has been a rough month for miss Jade. First a cold that kept lingering and then a stomach flu type bug that had her not feeling like herself for about a week. I'm so happy my little angel is finally feeling better! Today we did our first ever full grocery shopping trip together. I usually try to go on the weekends when Nate is home, however we had no food in the house, so it was kind of necessary. She did a great job and the fact that it's 80 degrees and sunny didn't hurt either :)

Finally, I have time to share some of Jade's one year pictures! I received the CD the day before our trip to Disneyland, so I didn't have time to get them up before we left. Here are a few of my favorites. At one year old Jade weighs 24 lbs 8 ounces and is 32 inches tall. She is in the 90th percentile for weight and still remains off the charts for height. 

Jade's Party

Jade developed a pretty nasty cold on Saturday (the day before her party) so she was not quite herself for her big day. However, she managed to perk right up once her cake was served! Here are a few pictures from the day. A big thanks to my sister for taking them for me!! :)

Overall, the party was a success. A big thanks to all our friends and family who were there to celebrate Jade's 1st birthday and a big thanks to those who couldn't be there who sent messages, cards and gifts!

Happy 1st Birthday Jade

One year photo shoot and party pictures will be coming soon! For now, I will share some pictures from Jade's actual birthday! 

Jade celebrated her birthday by enjoying her first happy meal from McDonald's. She had a cheeseburger with ketchup and pickles, french fries and apple juice. She loved it! :)

And there were presents, of course! Jade got a play kitchen and some various Minnie Mouse items. She seemed to like her card best, however!

You may have noticed Jade's dress looks a bit "retro"... that's because it is actually the same dress I wore on my 1st birthday! :)
