November Fun and Sun

The start to November was simply gorgeous, true fall weather!! Just a few pictures to share of the girls!

Daddy being silly with the leaf blower! :)

My beautiful girls!

Chicago Cubs and the World Series

Our whole family became pretty invested in the Chicago Cubs journey to the World Series! The girls listened to Go Cubs Go on repeat for days and days (and now know a good amount of the words). Jade would wake up each morning asking if the Cubs had won. As for Nate and I, we stayed up each night watching the games, taking in EVERY moment of the journey!

Due to work and parental duties, we were never able to make it to a game or to even down to Chicago to experience the celebration! So, several days after they had won, we took the kids down to Wrigley Field for the experience!!!

World Series Champions!!!

All the chalk writings on the brick wall were so amazing!

Adding our name to the wall!

Kids were hungry so we wrapped up the afternoon with lunch at the Rock & Roll McDonald's downtown.

Forgot to mention, Nate left the house during the 8th inning of Game 7 of the World Series (when the cubs had the lead) to get in line at Dick's Sporting Goods to buy us shirts when they won. Luckily they still came out on top after the Indians tied the game in the bottom of the 8th! In the end, the Cubbies pulled through to win and we got our shirts! ;)

Halloween Festivities

Halloween Festivities began with the Trunk of Treat Event at our church on October 30th! There was a setup of games, costume parade, trunk or treat and a giant pumpkin drop! Princess Rapunzel and Princess Anna had a blast!

The next day Jade got to wear her costume again, this time to school! All the preschool classes participated in a costume parade around the playground!

Their class then gathered for a class photo, and recited their October poem.

After school was trick or treating! Finally a year with good weather! The girls had so much fun. Jemma really started getting the hang of it, and loved picking out her candy! Afterward, we headed back to the house with our haul and the girls sat out front passing out candy to any remaining trick or treaters.

Fall Fun Part 2

Fall festivities continued with a fun trip to County Line Orchard in Hobart, IN with Nate's mom and dad! First up was a wagon ride out to the apple orchard.

After picking apples, we entered the kids area! Filled with hay mazes, petting zoo, Halloween Dinosaur, face painting and so much more. The girls had a blast!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! :)
