We started out the month with a quick weekend "get away" with Grandma and Grandpa! We met for breakfast at Walker Bros and then explored the Kohl Children's Museum in Glenview for the majority of the day. We spent the night at a local hotel and enjoyed pizza, swimming and games together! The next day we had breakfast at the hotel and went to Funtopia! Nate and the girls climbed, while the rest of watched/helped Jemma. We had Culvers for lunch and then headed home!
We wrapped up winter break with a family fun day at Sky Zone!
Once school started back up, all the winter activities started back up too! Jade has been enjoying a soccer skills class on Monday nights and indoor soccer games on Saturdays! It's been so fun seeing her skills improve! She's also been busy with Girl Scouts and Tuesday afternoon Art Class. Jemma has been enjoying Ballet on Wednesdays as well as Girl Scouts and Tuesday afternoon Art Class.
We got a new couch and are loving all the added space to sit! This picture was taken the day we got it, which is why the tags are still attached. We have since added 2 more photos to the gallery wall above it.
This month i got the opportunity to chaperone Jade's field trip to Naper Settlement. It was so fun being able to attend something with her and her class, as the opportunities to volunteer are pretty few.
Also this month was Open House night at school. The girls (especially Jemma) were excited to take us all around and show us everything in their classrooms!
January felt like the LONGEST month, ever! We were so ready to say goodbye and welcome February!
