Meet in the Middle - Michigan

This year's destination for Meet in the Middle, was not so "in the middle". We were super appreciative of my sister and her family for making the long journey up to Michigan for our annual tradition and very thankful for my dad who put the whole weekend together!

First on the agenda was an Alligator Sanctuary! We learned so much about the various turtles and alligators they have there and even learned the backstory on how some of them were rescued from abusive homes! We got to feed them and even hold a couple of the alligators at the end of the tour.

Afterward, we headed to our rental house in Albion, Mi. It was a beautiful house on a large secluded lot, with lake access and a great fire pit! We spent the rest of the evening hours exploring the property and eating s'mores around the campfire.

The next morning we headed to Jackson, MI. First stop was a cute coffee shop followed by Marketplace Manna, a shop that sells unique items from over 30 countries with the purpose of helping the poor disenfranchised, disabled and unemployed around the world. Grampy was so kind to give each of us some spending money to buy some unique items to support their mission.

While in Jackson, we had lunch at Jackon Coney Island, the birthplace of the Coney Island hotdog (pictured below). Can't say it was anything I would ever need to order again, but had to try it! :)

Back at the house, the boys had fun shooting some guns Nate brought over at the property's shooting range!

We had another perfect evening for a campfire and just hanging out all together!

The next day was Mother's Day! We had a special celebration in the morning and it was just so fun to be able to celebrate all together!

We had lunch at Culvers before parting ways. Thank you for such a fun and special weekend, Grammy and Grampy!
