We had a fabulous spring break trip to Disneyland in California! I've had the itch to go back to Disney since our trip to Disneyworld in 2019, but didn't want to repeat a trip, so this was a perfect solution.
We arrived early afternoon on Monday, and our plan was to grab a quick dinner and swim at the hotel. However, the weather had other plans as it was raining and the temperatures were only in the upper 60's. Instead we decided to walk around the downtown Disney area and ending up going bowling and eating dinner at Splitsville!
The next morning we woke up early and headed over to Disneyland! Our hotel was just across the street from the entrance (literally a 5 minute walk to the entrance gate). It couldn't have worked out any better. Temperatures were in the upper 60's/low 70's every day which made for perfect weather to enjoy the parks!
We opened the park and started out the day with Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters (twice), Autopia, Matterhorn Bobsleds, It's a Small World and Jungle Cruise, all before lunch!
We also saw Woody from Toy Story and Princess Jasmine and Aladdin!
After lunch we rode Big Thunder Mountain, Winnie The Pooh, Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion. Nate held a spot in line for the girls to meet Maribel from Encanto while we explored the castle!
We finished up the day with Jemma's wish (Mickey Pretzels) and a few more rides (Alice in Wonderland, Carousel and Matterhorn Bobsleds again). We headed back to the hotel around 7:30 and got ice cream!
The next day was our day at California Adventure! We got there just before the park opened and rushed to ride Radiator Springs first (along with hundreds of other people). :)
We then headed over to Pixar Pier where we met Jessie from Toy Story and rode a few rides before the lines got too long! The girls were so brave and both went on the Incredicoaster (their first upside coaster)! We also went on the giant Ferris Wheel (Nate and Jade were feeling daring and went in one of the swinging cars, Jemma and I did not). While in that area we also rode the Inside Out ride, Goofy's Sky School and Toy Story Mania (a family favorite) all before lunch.
Next we grabbed some lunch and spotted Mickey, Minnie and Elsa along the way!
We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the other side of the park and rode Soarin, Monster's Inc, The Little Mermaid, Guardians of the Galaxy (we all loved this) and the Spiderman Webslingers!
We wrapped up the night in Pixar Pier with dinner and riding Incredicoaster, Goofy's Sky School and Toy Story Mania again! Pixar Pier was so pretty all lit up at night!
We rode Big Thunder Mountain (again) and Indiana Jones and then checked out Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. We rode Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance. We're not huge Star Wars fans, but since we skipped the Star Wars stuff at Disneyworld we figured we had to check it out! We ended up loving both of the rides!
We finished up the day riding a few more of our favorite rides and doing a little souvenier shopping! Everyone was pretty wiped out, so we left the park a little earlier than the previous two days! Jemma and I went to McDonalds for dinner and Nate and Jade went to Johnny Rockets! We met up back at the hotel and basically collapsed into bed! :)
We had such a good time and can't wait to visit again!
