Father's Day!

Nate was off work on Friday and Saturday, so we decided this was a perfect opportunity for a little Father's Day fun! We headed out to Gurnee on Friday morning and stayed overnight at the Key Lime Cove Resort! This was the first time that we have stayed at a hotel, just us, as a family of three! We had so much fun!

We started out with lunch at Steak n Shake!

We got super lucky and when we arrived at the hotel around 12:30, they had a room ready for us! So, we hit up the indoor water park for the rest of the afternoon! Jade had so much fun and loved having her daddy there!

After almost 4 exhausting hours at the water park, we headed back to the room, showered and then went out for dinner at Olive Garden! After, we came back to the hotel and played in the arcade for a while before bed. The next morning we ate breakfast at the hotel and hurried down to the water park when it opened at 9 to get in a little more play time before we had to check out. 

Headed to meet Grammy, Grampy and GeeGee for Father's Day lunch! She insisted on wearing her Steak n Shake hat from the day before!

 We had a delicious Father's Day lunch at Carson's. Jade tried ribs for the first time and liked them!

She took her first cell phone picture, and it turned out surprisingly well!

We headed back to GeeGee's house for presents and dessert! Jade was very proud of the cards she made for Daddy and Grampy!

Going on day #2 in a row without a nap, we decided to head home around 3:30. Jade fell asleep in the car, but was ready for more play when we got home! She even helped daddy cut the grass! What a great Father's Day gift!
