Summer Road Trip - Niagara Falls

Long Post Warning!

This summer we road tripped to Niagara Falls!

We left early in the morning and drove straight through to Erie, PA where we stopped at Lake Erie Canopy Tours for ziplining and high ropes courses! Nate and Jade got to go on a few ziplines and 3 different high ropes courses. Jemma was just under the height/weight limit for those, so she got to do a kid friendly ropes course and zipline!

We grabbed a quick dinner and then drove another 1.5 hours to North East, PA where we stopped for the night! The girls had a blast swimming in the hotel pool and were super excited that it had a water slide!

The next morning we headed to Niagara Falls! We started on the American side with the Cave of the Winds tour! The weather was a little rainy and windy at times which really added to the experience! ;)

After we were completely drenched from head to toe, the sun came out for little so we walked around Niagara Falls State Park, had some lunch, and then headed over to the Maid of the Mist! The rain and wind added a little something extra to this experience as well! :)

Once again, soaking wet! But it was so worth it! We all had so much fun and everyone was such great sports! From here he headed across the border to get checked into our hotel on the Canadian side. We had dinner at Zappi's which was so good and then back to the hotel for some pool time!

Our room had a beautiful view of the falls! We stayed up to see the firework display!

We woke up to a beautiful day and headed back to New York for a visit at Fort Niagara. We always have so much exploring old forts!

We stopped for lunch at the cutest diner in Youngstown, NY on our way back to Canada!

Next on the agenda was Journey Behind the Falls. We took an elevator down about 125 ft and into a tunnel that leads you to a portal view from behind the falls and two observation decks!

We strolled around the Canadian side and had the most incredible views!

We went to dinner at Kelseys in the Clifton Hill area followed by souvenir shopping, go-karts and ice cream! We had so much fun!

The next day we started the trip home, making some fun stops along the way! First stop was Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park in Garrettsville, OH for some hiking and exploring. Some portions of the trail were incredibly narrow, low and rocky!

We continued on our drive and stopped in Columbus, OH for dinner at Torchy's Tacos and play time at a really fun park and challenge course! We had the most beautiful sunset view taking the back roads to our hotel for the night.

We left bright and early the next morning and made our final stop on the way home at the Indianapolis Children's Museum! This place has an amazing outdoor sports area as well as a whole indoor museum! We all had a blast, especially with the sports! We played tennis, soccer, basketball and mini golf and also did the pedal car races!

We had the best time, as usual! Counting down the days until our next adventure!
