Jade was pretty bummed that she wasn't going to be able to celebrate her birthday at school this year. We did our best to make the day special for her, and I think we were successful!
The day started with balloons and donuts!
Lunch was Jade's choice, Culvers!
She opened her gifts from us, and was most excited about her new electric scooter!
Included in her card from Grammy and Grampy were a set of scavenger hunt clues. Jemma and I set them up beforehand and then we Facetimed with Grammy and Grampy while Jade hunted for her gifts! At the end of the hunt she found Junie B Jones books, markers and a new chair for her room! Such a fun idea Grammy & Grampy! :)
Grandma and Grandpa stopped by and got to watch Jade open her gifts from them outside, staying 6 ft away of course. ;) Luckily the weather was gorgeous, so it worked out perfectly! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for making the trip over!
Jade also had a stack of cards and gifts to open from the Baum family! Jade loved reading each of the handmade cards! We also go to Facetime with together, which is always fun!
We wrapped up the day with a Facetime call with Aunty Nancy and Uncle Paul and dessert! Jade's choice of cookie cake, vanilla ice cream and crushed Oreo's were the perfect ending to a great day!
Thank you so much to all our friends and family for the sweet texts, calls, Facebook messages (that I read to her), cards, visits and gifts! Jade said she had a GREAT day!
