Wrapping up June

Nate and I were able to get away for a few days to Mexico while my parents watched the girls!! Unfortunately, the weather was quite poor and rained every day (except the day we went home, of course)! We tried our hardest to make the best of it and enjoy our time alone together! Our resort was really nice and the food was delicious, so that helped a little! :)

Spent a lot of time on our covered balcony playing cards and watching the rain.

Dinner the first night!

Breakfast buffet, definitely a highlight for me!

Yep, this about sums up the weather.

Huge waves!!

We got caught in the rain!!

Dinner on night #2.

A glimmer of hope the next morning. The big waves did however push a ton of seashells on to shore. We spent a lot of time picking through them and brought home a bunch for the girls!

Dinner on the last night!

Early morning beach walk on the last day!

Sunny, but still super windy!

Finally seeing what the pool looked like in sunlight! ;)

Soaking up a few rays before heading to the airport!

The day after we got home we had a super fun combined celebration for my birthday and Father's Day for Nate and my dad at Pilot Pete's! Watching the runway after dinner was a highlight for all!

We have still been hitting the parks as much as possible!! Here are the remaining ones that wrapped up June!

21. Brush Hill Park

22. Wil-O-Way Commons

23. Wil-O-Way Park

24. East Greens

25. Brighton Ridge

26. Burr Oak

Also during the last week of June, Jade attended Safety Town camp. The program is geared towards kids entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade, teaching all about various safety concepts. Some of the highlights for Jade were riding the bikes around town and putting out a pretend fire. On the last day, we were able to come early so the kids could show us around town! :)
