Jemma - 5 months

Sometimes I feel like it was just yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital. Somehow you are now just one month away from being halfway to your first birthday!

You have started showing significant interest in your toys this month. You love reading your soft books, chewing on sophie the giraffe and looking at your stuffed zebra that Jade brought you when you were born! You love grabbing at anything and everything. It makes me laugh when your foot touches Jade and she says "Jemma, don't kick me" or when you touch her arm and shes "Jemma, don't push me"!

You are starting to enjoy your tummy time more and more and you scream less and less. You are getting close to rolling over and sitting on your own. 

You are totally a mommy and daddy's girl. Being held by an unfamiliar face generally bring out your pouty lip and tears. Your sister adores you and whenever anyone asks what her baby sister's name is she sings a speical song..."Jemma, Jemma, Jemma Rose" :)

Gymnastics

Monday was Jade's first day of gymnastics. She is enrolled in a 10 week parent tot class at a local gymnastics club. She loved it and I loved it. Her favorite activities were the balance beam and trampoline. My favorite activity for her was hanging from the trapeze and dropping into the big foam block pit! :)

Frozen on Ice

One of Jade's Christmas gifts from us this year was tickets to see Frozen on Ice on a special date with mommy and daddy and no baby sister! :) I created a paper chain with a link for each of the days leading up to the show to help Jade understand when we would be going. Every morning Jade got to take a link off the chain. She loved that idea and started getting super excited when there were only a few links left.

The day is finally here, and she is ready to go!!

Jemma - 4 months

Four things about you at 4 months old:

- you weigh 14 lbs and are 24.75 inches tall

- you love watching everything your sister does, and you seem to think she is pretty funny

- you are a good eater, sleeper and are happy pretty much all the time

- you bring a smile to my face every single day

Christmas Celebrations

Our first celebration was on the 21st with the Obermayer family!

On Christmas Day we opened presents at home in the morning. Nate went to work and us girls celebrated with the Puzzello's the rest of the day!

We found a website with the top houses to see in Naperville. So we mapped out the 11 nearest to our house and drove to them. Some were repeats from last year!

Jade really got into the lights this year. So fun to see!

Arizona Weekend

We had such a great trip to Arizona last weekend! I absolutely loved watching my girls interact with their cousins. Jade was so happy to be running around and playing with them for 3 days straight and Jemma was all smiles for them! 

Our plane was pretty empty on the way there. Jemma and I lucked out and got our own row! Nate joined us later Saturday evening on a different flight!
