The day before the last day of school was the the Awards Ceremony for both girls. Parents of award recipients were notified and invited secretly, while students did not know if they would be receiving an award! This year Jemma received the Science Award and Jade received the Spanish Award and Band Award!
Later that afternoon parents were invited back for the 8th Grade Moving On (Graduation) Ceremony! We were just barely able to sneak the Grandparents in, too!
We invited the grandparents back to our house after for snacks and gifts before heading out to Cheesecake Factory for dinner with some extended family members!
The next day was the official last day of school! Jemma had a great first year of middle school and is excited for bigger lockers and the opportunity to play school sports in 7th grade!
Last day of middle school for Jade! Can't believe my first baby will be starting high school in the fall! So fun to see her excited about this next chapter! Go Redhawks! :)
