16 Months

Man, time sure is flying by. Jade is growing so fast and has quickly transitioned from infant to toddler. She walks like a big girl, plays like a big girl and is increasing her vocabulary, slowly but surely! She can identify several body parts including her head, noes, mouth and belly-button. She loves animals and always points out birds and dogs when she sees them. She seems to love vehicles as well. She identified both mine and Nate's cars in a parking lot full of cars, she notices semi-trucks/garbage trucks and was very fascinated by airplanes on our visit to Arizona last weekend. Before long, Grampy had her identifying them on the safety card and spotting them out the window! Here she is playing happily while waiting for my oil change!

This toddler transition has also given Jade quite an opinion on what she wants to do and what she wants to eat! She is great at communicating what she doesn't want by shaking her head no, haha. She has become a super picky eater (typical toddler I'm told) and is currently rejecting previous favorites including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

One thing that hasn't changed is her love for the outdoors! She still loves playing at the park, in her pool and in her sandbox!

Jade still naps in the morning and afternoon, loves reading books and is currently enjoying some new ones from the library, she can go up and down the deck stairs by herself and has FINALLY been able to leave the dog bowls alone! :) Happy 16 months Jade Marie. You make me so proud each and every day!
