Our whole family became pretty invested in the Chicago Cubs journey to the World Series! The girls listened to Go Cubs Go on repeat for days and days (and now know a good amount of the words). Jade would wake up each morning asking if the Cubs had won. As for Nate and I, we stayed up each night watching the games, taking in EVERY moment of the journey!
Due to work and parental duties, we were never able to make it to a game or to even down to Chicago to experience the celebration! So, several days after they had won, we took the kids down to Wrigley Field for the experience!!!
World Series Champions!!!
All the chalk writings on the brick wall were so amazing!
Adding our name to the wall!
Kids were hungry so we wrapped up the afternoon with lunch at the Rock & Roll McDonald's downtown.

Forgot to mention, Nate left the house during the 8th inning of Game 7 of the World Series (when the cubs had the lead) to get in line at Dick's Sporting Goods to buy us shirts when they won. Luckily they still came out on top after the Indians tied the game in the bottom of the 8th! In the end, the Cubbies pulled through to win and we got our shirts! ;)
