Jade in action

I was able to catch a few of Jade's newest happenings on video today!

 

I'm so impressed with Jade's memory and knowledge of her toys. Last night I asked her where her baby doll was (it was clear across the family room). She crawled straight over to it and picked it up. I tried it again today to see if it was just a fluke, and sure enough she went right to it!

 

 

For the last week or so, Jade has been so close to standing herself up without holding on to anything. Beginning yesterday, it started to become much more frequent! Check it out!

Friday Night Fun

Friday night marked our first family Friday night pizza night! While Jade had her first taste of pizza on New Year's Day with Grammy and Grampy at Giordano's, this was her first taste of Papa Johns! She loved it! :)

 

After dinner Jade worked off her pizza by pushing her motorcycle around!

 

9 Months

Jade at 9 Months

- she is 30 inches tall and weighs 21 pounds 8.5 ounces

- just had her 4th tooth break through (she now has two on top and two on the bottom)

- waves hello and bye bye (most of the time)

- lets go of what she's holding on to and stands on her own

- loves to eat

- is learning to drink from a sippy cup

- no longer rides in her baby car seat

- still uses her left and right hands equally when it comes to picking up toys and food

- continues to be a happy smiley baby, can't get enough of that sweet face



Special Cousin Time and More Christmas

We took full advantage of the Baum family being in town for Christmas. Since Nate had to work on the 26th and 27th, Jade, Charcoal and I stayed at my parents house where my sister's family was staying! The kids opened their presents from Grammy and Grampy together on the morning of the 26th and then we just relaxed all day! Here are a few pictures!

The 27th was supposed to be our big celebration with my dad's side of the family, however due to illness and car trouble, my Grandma was the only one who was still able to make it! (We missed seeing everyone SO much). Here are a few pictures from the day. Thanks to my sister for taking them! :)



Jade's First Christmas

We had such wonderful Christmas celebrations with so many family members! The celebration began on Christmas Eve for Jade and I. Nate had an unexpected forced overtime shift, so Jade and I had a nice evening together which consisted of Mac and Cheese for dinner, playing, and baking cookies for Santa. I had to shoot this picture FAST as those little fingers were about to pull the placemat to the floor! :)

 

 

We opened presents Christmas morning before heading over to Nate's mom and dad's house for breakfast and gifts! Here are a few pictures from our time Christmas Morning.

Ready for the big one!

 

Jade's big gift from us was a ride on motorcycle which also converts into a walker. In addition to her learning purse and motorcycle she also got new Ugg boots and a Choo Choo Soul CD/DVD. In her stocking she got big girl paci's, a new bib and her first toothbrush!

After breakfast we headed over to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for a celebration with my mom's family! I don't seem to have any pictures from this portion of the day, however I do have this picture of Jade that my sister took!
